Abstract

Objective To explore the value of detecting serum cystatin C(Cysc)and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP)in diagnosis of type 2 diabetic mellitus(T2DM)patients with early diabetic nephropathy. Methods Based on urine renal function indicators including urinary microalbumin、urinary β2-microglobumin and N-acetyl-β-D-glucosamccharase),180 T2DM patients were divided into renal function normal group and renal function abnormal group each consisted of 90;another 100 healthy persons wer chosen as control group. The levels of serum Cysc and hs-CRP were examined analyzed statistically. Results The levels of serum Cysc and hs-CRP in patients with T2DM were significantly higher than those in control group (P0.01);The levels of serum Cysc and hs-CRP in urine renal function abnormal group were significantly increased than those in urine renal function normal group (P0.01);and the level of Cysc was positively correlated with hs-CRP (r=0.39)in T2DM patients. Conclusions The levels Cysc and hs-CRP may be as sensitive indicaors for diagnosis of early diabetic nephropathy in type 2 diabetic mellitus patients and combined detection can improve the positive rate.
