The Experimental Study of Weitongxiaopi Decoction Influence on Gastrointestinal Motility in Functional Dyspepsia Rats with Liver Depression

Abstract

Objective:To observe the effect of weitongxiaopi decoction (WTXPD) in functional dyspepsia(FD) rats with liver depression by measuring plasma motilin (MTL) level,serum NO level and small intestinal propulsive ratio,further to approach the influence of this decoction on gastrointestinal motility.Methods:To establish FD model by clipping tail,and 60 rats were randomly divded into:Normal group,Model group,Domperidone group,WTXPD low dose,middle dose,large dose group.Different groups rats were treated twice aday by gastrogavage for 14 days,then to measure plasma MTL level,serum NO level and small intestinal propulsive ratio of each group rats and to contrast the effective extent of different dose WTXPD.Results:WTXPD could advance plasma MTL level,reduce serum NO level,and accelerate small intestinal propulsive ratio of FD rats significantly,there was significant difference in statistics(P0.01).The efficacy of middle dose WTXPD was superior to low dose group(P0.01,P0.05),and similar with large dose group(P0.05).Conclusion:WTXPD could improve gastrointestinal motility of FD rats with liver depression,and medium dose WTXPD,the optimal dose,was the most effective.
