Efficacy Observation of Clotrimazole Combined Miconazole to Cure Candida Vaginitis in Pregnancy

OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy of clotrimazole combined miconazole to treat with candida vaginitis in pregnancy.METHODS:100 patients with candida vaginitis in pregnancy were randomly divided into control group and observation group from Jan.2008-Feb.2010 in our hospital,and 50 cases were in each group.The control group was given alkaline lotion to wash vulva and put the 500 mg of clotrimazole in the deep of vaginal;the observation group was given miconazole cream to erase itching 2～3 times a day.One course of treatment of 2 groups was 7 d.In the first and fourth week,the efficacy was examined,and the clinical efficacy and symptom improvement rate were compared.RESULTS:The total effective rate was 96.0% and the recurrence rate was 6.0% in the observation group;the total effective rate was 82.0% and the recurrence rate was 24.0% in the control group.There were statistically significant differences in the total effective rate and recurrence rate between 2 groups(P0.05).The symptom improvement rate of the observation group were 96.0%,88.4% and 95.0% while the control group were 82.0%,68.2% and 75.6%.There was significant difference between 2 groups in symptom improvement rate(P0.05).Followed up to the delivery,there were no occurrences of maternal infection,premature birth,neonatal malformations.CONCLUSION:The clotrimazole combined miconazole to treat with vaginitis in pregnancy is safe and effective,and the recurrence rate is low.
