Effect observation of valsartan combined with hydrochlorothiazide in treating hypertension

Objective To observe the efficacy of valsartan combined with hydrochlorothiazide in treating hypertension. Methods 80 cases were randomly divided into observation group and control group,40 cases of each. The observation group was treated with valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide,while the control group was treated with captopril and nifedipine gits. Both groups were treated for 6 months. Observed 2 groups' change situation of BP. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97. 5% higher than 92. 5% of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). After treatment,BP of both groups was improved,and the improvement situation of the observation group was better than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion Treating hypertension with valsartan combined with hydrochlorothiazide has good efficacy,safety and compliance,which is an ideal treatment method.
