An Analysis of Influences on Urban People's Desire for Old-age Support

The paper,by using the data from the Survey of Urban and Rural Elderly Population in China 2006,analyzes urban citizens' desire for old-age support and services as well as its influential factors.The result shows that the urban elders depend mainly on family support,and they prefer to live at home with their children and to have family care rather than live in institutions.On the whole,where the aged want to live is greatly affected by their marital status.Besides,other main effects on the population's senior life relate to their education level,financial condition,and how many daughters they have.
