An Empirical Study of Elder's Desire for Old-Age Support in Huai'an City

Abstract

Based on a questionnaire investigation on 869 elder citizens in Huai'an city and by using Logistic Regression model,the author made an empirical study of old people's desire for old-age support.The results show that the old people's age,gender,education level and health made no significant effect,but their marital status,family type,place of residence,monthly income,and problems worrying them most had remarkable impact on their choice for the mode of old-age support.
