The Effect of Ropivacaine Epidural Anesthesia in Elderly Patients with Total Hip Arthroplasty

Objective To research the anesthetic effect of different concentrations of ropivacaine in the elderly total hiparthroplasty.Methods Selected 66 cases of elderly patients with total hip arthroplasty in our hospital from January 2009 to 2011 in December as the object of study,randomLy divided them into two groups,33 cases of group A in each group given 0.4% ropivacaine anesthesia,the B group were given 0.5% ropivacaine anesthesia,observed the anesthetic effect in both groups.Results Two groups of sensory block onset time,the anesthetic effect and Bromage score difference had statistically significant(P0.05),sports recovery time difference has statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion The 0.4% ropivacaine has the same effect in anesthesia with 0.5% ropivacaine in the elderly total hip arthroplasty,and it has less impact on the motor block,it is safe and effective.
