Abstract
Objective:To observe the dexmedetomidine applied to the sedative effects on elderly hypertensive patients with spinal anesthesia and the influence of hemodynamic.Method:60 elderly patients with hypertension were randomly divided into the dexmedetomidine given group(D group)and the control group(C group),30 patients in each group. With the completed epidural block, the D group was given intravenous continuous infusion of DEX and the control group was input the equivalent saline at the same time. Not only the blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate,SPO 2 were observed, but also Narcotrend Index(NTI)and Observer's Assessment of Alertness/Sedation(OAA/S)Score were simultaneously monitored during the operations.Result:Respiratory rate, heart rate and SPO 2 showed no significant differences between the two groups, but the blood pressure of the Group D was more smoothly controlled after the beginning of administration and the level was significantly lower(P 0.05)than that in the control group whose pressure was substantially increasing during the whole operations, the NTI,the OAA /S score were statistically significant(P 0.05)in the Group D,compared with the control group that were without bradycardia. Conclusion:The elderly hypertensive patients with spinal anesthesia can be well-sedated by using Dexmedetomidine.Meanwhile, the blood pressure can be moderately controlled and the indicators of hemodynamic can be maintained stable as well.
