Abstract

The view of institutional isomorphism in traditional neo-institutionalism theory has been increasingly questioned by organizational theoretical scholars.Institutional logic theory and the concept of institutional pluralism resulting from it provide more convincing explanation for heterogenous organizational behavior under institutional constraints,so they have become the frontier issue drawing close attention from institutional theoretical scholars. This paper makes a systematic review of current research in aspects such as the connotation definition of the concepts of institutional logic and institutional pluralism, heterogenous organizational behavior resulting from institutional pluralism, institutional logic as the antecedent of institutional entrepreneurship and the institutional logic evolution process of organizational domains. At last,it explores the shortcomings of current literature and makes prospects for future research.
