Abstract

Objective It is to observe the lowering sugar effect and safety of insulin Glargine on type 2 diabetes patients. Methods 27 patients with type 2 diabetes and high blood sugar were randomly divided into group A (using insulin Glargine, n=13) and group B (using insulin pump, n=14). The therapeutic targets of the two groups were that fasting blood sugar was ≤7.0 mmol/L and 2 h postprandial blood sugar was ≤11 mmol/L. Results The patients in the two groups achieved blood sugar target. There was no difference in achieveachieve achiethe time of achieving target between the two groups (P0.05). There was no difference in the incidence of hypoglycemia between the two groups (P0.05). Conclusions Insulin Glargine intensification therapy can control high blood sugar well and the incidence of hypoglycemia is low.
