Effect of insulin glargine combined with diformin on blood sugar of type 2 diabetes

Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of insulin glargine combined with diformin on blood sugar of type 2 diabetes.Methods We analyzed retrospectively the clinical data of insulin glargine combined with diformin(observation group,n=35)or novolin 30 R(control group,n=35)for 70 patients with type 2 diabetes in our hospital from March 2009 to March 2012.Results Compared with control group,fasting blood glucose(FPG),blood glucose 2h after breakfast(2hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),insulin dosage,body mass index(BMI)and the incidence of hypoglycemic events were improved significantly in observation group.In addition,the curative effect in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group.Conclusions The insulin glargine combined with diformin can better control blood sugar of type 2 diabetes,which has a lower incidence of hypoglycemic events and high curative effect.It is a good treatment for type 2 diabetes and worthy to be popularized.
