Abstract
Objective To observe the curative effect of the combination of docetaxel,oxaliplatin,5-fluorouracil(5-Fu) and leucovorin(CF) as chemotherapy in treating advanced gastric cancer(AGC) and their main toxicities. Methods From January 2006 to January 2009,47 patients with AGC were accepted in our hospital. The patients were divided into treatment group(n=26) and control group(n=25).The regimen of the treatment group was docetoxel 75 mg/m2,iv infusion on day 1;oxaliplatin 85 mg/m2,iv infusion on day 1;5-Fu 500 mg/m2,iv infusion from day 1 to 5;CF 300 mg/m2,iv infusion from day 1 to 5.The regimen of control group was oxaliplatin 130 mg/m2,iv infusion on day 1;The usage of 5-Fu and CF were similar to the treatment group. All patients were evaluated after 3 cycles(every cycle lasted 3 weeks). Results After treatment, the number of CR cases were 6,while PR 11,SD 8 and PD 1 in treatment group, and the number of CR,PR,SD and PD were 2,7,6,6 respectively in control group. The difference in curative effect of the two groups was significant(P0.05).The main toxicities were leukocytopenia,nausea/vomiting and alopcia, but there was no chemotherapy related toxic death. The rate of adverse reaction between two groups showed no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion The combination of docetaxel,oxaliplatin,5-Fu and CF is an effective and well-tolerated regimen as chemotherapy for the AGC.
