Clinical effect observation of Irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide tablets in treatment of essential hypertension

Objective To explore clinical efficacy of Irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide tablets in the treatment of essential hypertension.Methods One hundred and twenty-eight cases with essential hypertension in our hospital were randomly divided into observation group and control group,each group had 64 cases,the control group were treated Irbesartan tablets,and the observation group were treated Irbesartan and hydrochlorothiazide tablets.The treatment courses of two groups were 4 weeks.Results After 4 weeks of treatment,the observation group systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure was significantly lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05);The total effective rate was 89.1% in observation group and 79.7% in control group,the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).Both groups had no serious adverse reactions.Conclusion Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide tablets in the treatment of essential hypertension has significant effect,and its adverse reactions are fewer and of good safety,is worthy of clinical use.
