Abstract
Objective To investigate the indication and the advantage of micro endoscopic discectomy(MED Ⅱ)for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation Methods MED Ⅱ was used to remove the nucleus and enlargement of the nerve root canal. Results Fifty five cases of lumbar disc herniation were treated with MED Ⅱ and followed up for 3~12months;the results in 49 cases were evaluated as excellent,6 as good,0 as poor. Conclusion The MED Ⅱ has the advantages of less trauma, early recovery and excellent effect. The MED Ⅱ can be used to treat the most types of lumbar disc herniation.
