Content of Hypersensitivity C Reactive Protein in Serum of Patients with Different Kinds of Angina Pectoris and Drug Interven- tion

OBJECTIVE To observe the content of hypersensitivity C reactive protein (hsCRP) in the serum of patients with stable and unstable angina pectoris and the effect of drug intervention. METHOD ELISA method was used to detect hsCRP level of 60 patients with stable and unstable angina pectoris, and those with unstable angina pectoris were divided into a treatment group of 17 patients treated with the Chinese medicine Tongxinluo Capsule as well as western medicine, and a control group of another 17 patients treated only with western medicine. The patients were treated for 8 weeks. RESULT The hsCRP level of those with unstable angina pectoris was markedly higher than those with stable angina pectoris( P 0.01). In the treatment group, hsCRP level was improved markedly as compared with the level before the treatment( P 0.01), with significant difference from the control group after the treatment ( P 0.01) . CONCLUSION The rise of hsCRP level is an indicator for the change of the disease conditions of those with unstable angina pectoris, and Tongxinluo Capsule can relieve the attack of angina pectoris by improving CRP level.
