Effcet of Tongxinluo capsul on hs-CRP、TNF-a in patients with angina pectoris

Objective To investigate the protective effect and possible mechanisms of Tongxinluo capsul on angina pectoris. Methods Sixty-one patients with unstable angina pectoris(UA) were randomly divided into the control group(n=31) treated by conventional therapy and the treatment group(n=30) treated by Tongxinluo capsule on this basis. 4 weeks later,serum high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) and tumor necrosis factor-a(TNF-a) were determined with ELISA before and after treatment. Results The levels of hs-CRP,TNF-a were significantly lower in both groups after treatment than those before treatment(P0.01),and the decrement in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group(P0.01). Conclusion Tongxinluo casule could inhibit the development of angina pectoris through down-regulating the expresssion of serum TNF-α,decreasing serum hs-CRP concentration and inhibiting inflammatory reaction.
