Abstract

The authors here validate the equation of pavement structural behavior which was founded before,analyze the influence of different asphalt materials on the pavement long-term performance,develop the effect relation of old pavement condition in the overlaid pavement structure and then give a analysis of whole life performance of pavement structure.According to the whole life pavement structural behavior equation,the authors put forward a new structural design method based on pavement performance,try to design pavement structural combination based on pavement performance within the whole analysis period and give the optimum and unique design combination of pavement structure.In order to guarantee the expected life of pavement structure which was designed using the above method,this paper gives the principle advice of choosing pavement materials.
