Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of Thinprep cytology test(TCT) through the analysis of TCT detection results. Methods Between October 2007 and October 2008,a total of 1866 gynecological outpatients received cervical examination by TCT and TBS reporting way.Pathological biopsy under colposcopy was done in 359 patients with atypical squamous cells,low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions, and high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions. The results of TCT test were analyzed and compared with pathological diagnosis. Results TCT test showed that the positive rates of the atypical squamous cells(ASC-US),low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions(LSIL) and high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions(HSIL) were 12.54%,3.91%and 0.91%, respectively.Pathological diagnosis by biopsy under colposcopy showed that the diagnostic accordance rates of ASC-H,LSIL,and HSIL were 86.36%,90.41%,and 94.44%,respectively.Conclusions TCT test provides early information of cervical precancerous changes and has important clinical value in cervical lesion screening.
