Utilization of Narcotic Analgesics in Our Hospital During 2005 ～ 2008

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the utilization of narcotic analgesics in our hospitial for references of clinical rational ultilization of narcotic analgesics. METHODS: The consumption data of narcotic analgesics in our hospital during 2005 ～ 2008 was analayzed statistically. RESULTS: The consumption of the extended-release tablets or controlled-release tablets of Morphine increased sharply in our hospital over the four years,while that of Morphine Hydrochloride Injection experienced little change and that of Pethindine preparations (injection and tablets) presented a downtrend. CONCLUSION: The utilization of narcotic nanlgesics in our hopspital tended to be rational in variety, dosage form and route of administration.
