Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of blood glucose levels changes in spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage patients. Methods 103 cases with spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage diagnosed by CT were selected. They were divided into normal blood glucose( blood glucose 6. 1 mmol·L-1) and hyperglycemia group( blood glucose 6.1 mmol·L-1). The mortality rate and clinical neurological deficit scores were analyzed. Results The mortality rate of hyperglycemia group was higher than was in normal blood sugar group( χ2= 6. 242,P 0. 05); The NIHSS scores of the two groups after the first day and seventh day was not statistically significant( P 0. 05),and the difference was statistically significant on 21 st day( P 0. 05). Conclusion The fasting blood glucose level is related with the risk of death and the recovery of neurological function in spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage patients.
