Abstract
This paper is aiming specifically at the moisture damage problem of asphalt pavement, and the axis-symmetric finite element method is performed to analyze variety of pore water pressure in asphalt pavement and its negative effects on stress state of asphalt pavement. The study results revealed that the pore water pressure induces stripping of the asphalt from aggregate and makes asphalt pavement cracked inside, which results in premature failure of asphalt pavement.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
