Abstract

Ethnic festivals are cultural symbols formed by an ethnic group in long-term social life,and the related rituals are important tokens of ethnic culture carrying social functions and cultural significance bestowed upon it.By taking the Five Winter Tomb-sweeping rituals of the Mulao ethnic group surnamed Yin in Luocheng Guangxi as an example,this article discusses the role the rituals play in the Mulao's holiday system as well as its influence on local social life.
