Abstract

The Mulao ethnic group has a relatively small population compared with other ethnic groups in China and their customary law is of certain characteristics.For example,they carry out relaxed endogamy system and strict exogamy system.Young men and women can freely fall in love by means of zou po.However,most of the marriages are arranged by parents by going to market and eating rice noodles.The customs like 10 sisters accompanying marriage and not living in her husband's home a short time after marriage still prevail.
