Abstract
Using methyl methacrylate(MMA) as the hard monomer, butyl acrylate(BA) as the soft monomer, acrylic acid(AA) and N-hydroxymethyl acrylamide(NMA) as the functional monomers, and ammonium persulfate(APS) as the initiator, the acrylate emulsion with about 41% of solid content was synthctized. The research results showed that the some factors including polymerisable emulsifier(F-6),NMA and reaction temperature have influence on the performance of acrylate emulsion. The combination properties of acrylate emulsion were better when the reaction temperature was about 85℃,the mass fractions of F-6 and NMA were 0.5% and 0.25%,respectively.
