Abstract
Using ammonium persulfate(APS)as the initiator,methyl methacrylate(MMA) as the hard monomer,butyl acrylate(BA) as the soft monomer,acrylic acid(AA) as the functional monomers,WE-9 as the reactive emulsifier,an emulsifier-free acrylate emulsion was synthesized by pre-emulsification process.Influence of polymerization temperature,dropping time of pre-emulsion and emulsifier content on the emulsion properties was discussed.The results showed that the emulsifier-free emulsion had excellent property when the polymerization temperature was 80 ℃,the emulsifier content was 1.5% and the dropping time of preSynthesis of emulsifier-free acrylate emulsion-emulsion was 2 h.
