Abstract

Objective To compare the clinical efficiency between laparoscopic and open myomectomy. Methods The data of 38 cases of laparoscopic myomectomy(laparoscopic group) and 34 cases of open myomectomy(open group) in the same period were retrospectively analyzed. The operating time,intra-operative blood loss, postoperative temperature, postoperative pain, hospital stay, hospitalization cost of the two groups were compared. Results The laparoscope group had significantly less operation time,intra-operative blood loss and postoperative hospital stay than the open group(t=3.10,9.17,11.28,P0.05);had significantly less cases of high temperature(38℃) and analgesic use within 24 hrs after operation than the open group(χ2=5.58,5.76,P0.05);had significantly higher hospitalization costs than the open group(t=12.38,P0.05).Conclusions Compared with the open myomectomy, laparoscopic myomectomy has advantages of less operation time, less blood loss, less cases of high temperature, shorter hospital stay and less cases of postoperative pain.
