Abstract
Objective To study the anesthetic effect of combined spinal-epidural anesthesia in elderly patients undergoing total hip replacement. Methods Sixty elderly patients undergoing total hip replacement was selected, and randomly divided into the observation group and control group. The observation group received combined spinal-epidural anesthesia, epidural anesthesia was used to the control group. anesthetic onset time, complete anesthesia block time and anesthesia epidural dosage were observed in two groups. hypotension during operation situation was recorded in two groups during anesthesia. Results Anesthetic onset time in the observation group was earlier than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05);perfect block anesthesia time in observation group was earlier than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05 ); epidural drug dosage in the observation group was less than that in control group, the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05 ). The incidence of hypotension in observation group was lower than that in control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Combined spinal-epidural anesthesia has significant anesthetic effect in elderly patients undergoing total hip replacement, and better than epidural anesthesia.
