Abstract

Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of spinal-epidural anesthesia and epidural anesthesia for the elderly patients with femoral head replacement. Method: The clinical data of 120 elderly patients with femoral head replacement of over 80 years were retrospectively analyzed, they were divided into observation group and control group, and each group had 60 cases,The control group was treated with epidural anesthesia, while the observation group was given spinal-epidural anesthesia. The anesthesia block situation, the anesthetic effect and adverse reaction were compared between the two groups. Result: The anesthetic effect, reaching the highest block plane time and degree of motor block Bromage grading score of the obsrvation group were significantly better than the control group, the differences were statistically significant( P0.05),the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant( P 0.05). Conclusion: The efficacy and safety of spinal-epidural anesthesia for the elderly patients with femoral head replacement is better than the epidural anesthesia method, and it is worth to be further promoted in clinical.
