Abstract

With the comparison and analysis on the take-off technique of long jump between Chinese elite long jumpers (men, n=11) and world top-level long jumpers (men. n = 6), the author finds that lower absolute velocity of approach run. vertical velocity of take-off and take-off angle are the main problems. And the reasons are mainly that the lower absolute velocity of approach run and the inferior quality of specialized force of the jumping leg, which have prevented the performances of Chinese elite long jumpers.
