Abstract
Objective:To observe the efficacy of tizanidine in the treatment of spastic hemiplegia of stroke.Methods:42 hemiplegic patients after stroke were divided randomly into treatment group (21 cases) and control group (21 cases). All patients received the same neurological routine medication and rehabilitation. In addition, the treatment group also received oral administration of tizanidine.Muscular tension was measured with modified Ashworth scores (MAS) before and after the treatment. Results:Muscular tension in both groups was decreased after the treatment(P0.005).The efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P0.005).Conclusion: Tizanidine could significantly improve spastic hemiplegia caused by stroke.
