Abstract
【Objective】 To explore the risk factors associated with nonalcoholic fatty liver in patients with type 2 diabetesmellitus(T2DM).【Methods】Serum concentration of fasting blood glucose(FBG),insulin,ALT,TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C,hsCRP,stature,weight,body mass index(BMI),waist circumference, blood pressure,HOMA-IR index and carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT) in 179 T2DM patients with or without fatty liver were compared. The associated variables were analyzed by using logistic regression model.【Results】 There was no difference in the concentration of FBG,TC,HDL-C and LDL-C between T2DM with and without fatty liver. There were obvious differences in the concentration of fasting insulin,ALT,TG,hsCRP and BMI,waist circumference,HOMA-IR index, carotid artery IMT,frequency with metabolic syndrome between T2DM with and without fatty liver.BMI(OR: 1.62),TG(OR: 1.41),FINS(OR: 2.01),HOMA-IR index(OR: 2.17),hsCRP(OR: 1.34),carotid artery IMT(OR: 1.24) were positively correlated to fatty liver in the patients with T2DM.After correction of BMI and TG,HOMA-IR index(OR: 1.56) still was positively correlated to fatty liver in the patients with T2DM.【Conclusion】Obesity,insulin resistance, dyslipidemia and metabolic syndrome are more frequently in T2DM patients with fatty liver. The oxidative stress and arthrosclerosis were more severe in these patients.
