Abstract
This experimental study, with 52 English majors as the subjects, investigates the effects of group peer feedback and teacher feedback in two-semester writing teaching. The results indicate that the combination of group peer feedback and teacher feedback is more effective than teacher feedback in improving the students' writing proficiency. Group peer feedback enables the students to play multiple roles in writing, strengthens their motivation, and enhances their writing autonomy and sense of class identity.
