Effects of Jiangtang Yishen decoction on insulin signaling pathway to improve diabetic nephropathy of GM Type 2 diabetes in MKR mice

Objective To investigate the effects of Jiangtang Yishen decoction on blood glucose,plasma insulin and renal cortex of insulin receptor,phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase protein expression of GM Type 2 diabetes in MKR mice fed with high fat diet.Methods 40 MKR mice were randomly divided into four groups,the MKR mice in MG group fed with normal diet,in HG,TG and WG groups with high fat,after 8 weeks,the mice in TG group with Jiangtang Yishen decoction,in WG group with Gliquidone and Benazepril,at the same time,in MG and HG groups were given distilled water 4 weeks.The mice killed after 4 weeks and to collect specimens,and the glomerular insulin receptor 1(IRS-1) and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI-3K) protein expression were detected with immunohistochemical SABC assay.Results Compared with HG group,Jiangtang Yishen decoction decreased obviously the expression of IRS-1 and PI-3K in kidey(P0.01).Conclusion Jiangtang Yishen decoction can improve the proliferation of glomeruli mesangial cells in diabetic nephropathy,which maybe related to intervene the insulin pathway.
