Explanation of Translation Equivalence on the Basis of Transferring the Culture

Translation carries certain cultural meaning possibility,forms and contents of translation depend on various factors of the target culture.Translation equivalence remains one of the basic concepts in the study of translating,and it's the ultimate aim of translating as well.From a general perspective,translation equivalence between Chinese and English can be realized.While due to the unique categories and expressions in different languages,some words in the source language have no complete translation equivalent,or even have no equivalent at all in the target language.This paper discusses the loss of information on the Lexical level in translation and also puts forward some suggested approaches.
