Abstract
Objective To study the mechanism of imipenem resistance in pseudomonas aeruginosa(Pa) isolated in Huaibei area.Methods The susceptibility of 25 imipenem-resistance Pa strains to 12 kinds of antibiotics were tested by K-B and MIC method.The drug-resistance associated gene of both outer membrane protein D2(OprD2) and metallo-β-lactamases(MBLs) were detected by PCR.Results The OprD2 gene were lost in 15 of 25 tested imipenem-resistance Pa strains while the both gene of SPM-2 and GIM were negative in all 25 imipenem-resistance Pa strain.The metallo-β-lactamases gene,VIM-2 and IMP-1,were positive in 5 of 25 strains mentioned above.Conlusion Loss of OprD2 and the production of metallo-β-lactamases were importance for imipenem-resistance Pa in huaibei area.
