Investigation of the deficiency of OprD2 in Imipenem resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa and the genotype of encoding gene of Metal beta-Lactamases

Abstract

Objective To explore the deficiency of outer membrane protein OprD2 in Imipenem resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa and the genotype of encoding gene of Metal beta-lactamases from clinically isolated strains,and to provide the basis for clinical therapy and hospital infection.Methods MBLs producing strains were screened with Imipenem-EDTA paper synergistic method.MBLs and OprD2 were detected by PCR.Results 16 among the 76 strains of Imipenem resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa produced MBLs(with the detection rate of 21.1%),with VIM-2 type 13 strains(with the detection rate of 17.1%),IMP-1 type 3 strains(with the detection rate of 3.9%),Porin OprD2O deficiency 51 strains﹙with the detection rate of 75%﹚.Conclusion The deficiency of outer membrane protein OprD2 existed in most of the clinically isolated Imipenem resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa,with some popularity of VIM-2 and VIM-2 producing MBLs strains,the change of resistance of the strains should be monitored closely.
