Abstract

The serum levels of tumor necrosis factor α(TNF α)and nitric oxide (NO) were determined with ELISA and Gress in 76 cases of NIDDM,38 normal subjets. The results were:were the serum TNF α and NO levels in NIDDM were significantly higher than that in of normal controls ( P 0 01).The serum levels of TNF α and NO havn't associated with blood glucose TNF α has correlated with the course of disease,LP (a),LDL and TG.NO hasn't associated with course of disease but has correlated with LP(a),LDL and TG. TNF α also has correlated with its complications The detection of TNF α and NO might be significant observing factors of clinical changes of NIDDM.
