Abstract
Objectives: This paper was conducted to study the changes in tumor necrosis factor α( TNF α) and its clinial significance in the patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods:Serum TNF α was detected by ELISA method. Results:The levels of TNF α were significantly increased in type 2 diabetic patients and in the group with microangiopathy as compared with controls and in the group without microangiopathy( P 0.05).There was a positive correlation between the TNF α level and triglyceride, insulin, HbA1c in the diabetic patients( P 0.01). Conclusions: It is suggested that TNF α is related to lipid metabolic disorders, insulin resistance and microangiopathy.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
