Abstract

Based on the inhibitory effect of trace amounts of Cu~(2+)(0.5 μg/25 mL) on the oxidation of Ⅰ by oxygen in an acid solution,a new kinetic ohotometric method for the determination of trace of copper was established. The delection limit is 0.005 3 μg/L and the linear range of determination is 0~2.0 μg/L.The method has been applied to the determination of trace amounts of copper in human hair with satisfactory results.
