Abstract

In pH 4.5 HAc-NaAc buffer solution, trace copper(Ⅱ) can sensitively inhibit the discoloration reaction of light green SF oxidized by KBrO3.Based on this,an inhibitory kinetic spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace copper was established. The calibration graph was linear in the range of 0.004~0.048 μg/mL for copper, and the detection limit was 8.63×10-4 μg/mL.The method has been used for the determination of trace copper in human hair with a satisfactory result.
