The Expression and Significance of VEGF in the Preeclampsia Placenta

Objective: To detect expression of VEGF in placenta for the mechanism of the preeclampsia placenta.Method: Immunohistochemical staining method with pathological image analysis technology were taken to detect the expression of VEGF in 10 cases of normal pregnancy group,17 patients with mild preeclampsia and 13 patients with severe preeclampsia placentas.Result: Expression of VEGF mainly lies in placental trophoblast cells' membrane and the cytoplasm.With the normal pregnancy,expression of VEGF in placentas decreased significantly in mild and severe preeclampsia placenta groups,There was significant difference.Conclusion: Decreasing the expression of VEGF in preeclampsia trophoblast cells is the pathogenesis of preeclampsia so as to provide a new direction in the clinical treatment of preeclampsia.
