Problems and solutions in effective application of inquiry learning

Inquiry learning is one of effective methods to cultivate students' ability in creation,practical application,scientific research,communication and cooperation.In view of current situation of College English teaching reform,an action research was conducted among non-English majors of Liaoning Technical University.In the inquiry learning process which great attention was paid to,first-hand materials was collected,analyzed and assessed.Findings show that inquiry learning is a new,autonomous and cooperative learning mode which highlights the cultivation of students’talents.Meanwhile,relative problems,solutions and suggestion were discussed.
