Clinical evaluation of slight-trauma technique for caries removal in the primary molars

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of Carisolv chemo-mechanical removal of dentine caries in primary teeth.Method: 148 primary molars were divided into two groups. Respectively adopted Carisolv and hand instruments caries removal method,6-months?1-year follow-up.Result: The Carisolv technique had the same effect on caries removal in primary teeth with hand instruments method.Conclusion: The Carisolv technique can be strongly recommended for clinical caries in primary teeth, particularly when treating fear and fidgety children.
