Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of mifepristone for perimenopause dysfunctional uterine bleeding( PDUB). Methods During June 2011 to June 2013,126 outpatients with PDUB in our hospital were included. these patients were treated with 12. 5mg mifepristone every night for two months. Before and after this treatment,a laboratory test was perform for Blood routine, liver and renal function, and the change of endometrial thickness was examined by B ultrasonic. We compared the level of progestational hormone each month in blood pre- and posttreatment for two months. Results During taking the medicine, all cases were menostasis. The level of Progestin andestrogenic hormone blood serum was low,and FSH、LH was not change. The endometrium became thinner. The function of liver and renal were normal. Hemoglobin of all cases was significantly increased to some extent, and anaemia was improved. Conclusion mifepristone is an effective, safe in the treatment of PDUB.
