Abstract

Content changes of IAA,GA,ABA and ZR were determined with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) method in roots, leaves and buds of Jinhuatai cytoplasmic male sterile(CMS) radish 75A and its maintainer 75B during different development stages. The results indicated CMS 75A and its maintainer line 75B showed significant differences in their hormone content in seeding root, leaves and buds.Changes in IAA,ABA and GA content in different development stages of buds of 75A and 75B had a similar pattern,i.e.in both lines, the levels of IAA,GA and ABA dropped at first, then rose, however,IAA content of buds in 75A was lower than that in 75B,ABA and GA contents were on the contrary.ZR content in buds of CMS rose in the early stage and then cut down, and its maintainer line had an opposite pattern. The ZR,ABA and GA content of seeding roots and leaves in 75A were higher than that in75B except exceptional stages, while IAA content was on the contrary. All analyses suggest the abnormal hormone change may be related to the microspore abortion in root, leaves and buds of male sterile radish.
