Research of dyeing on wool fabric with dry leaves of camphortree extraction

The dyeing of wool fabrics with extraction of dry leaves of camphortree was studied.Factors exerting influence on dyeing results on wool fabric such as dyeing pH value,dyeing temperature,dyeing time,Na 2 SO 4 concentration and mordant dyeing were discussed.The K / S and CIE Lab values of the dyed wool fabrics were investigated,the optimum conditions for the direct dyeing on wool fabric were pH value 3.50,dyeing temperature 100 ℃,dyeing time 75 min,liquor ratio 1∶ 50.Different hues wool fabrics could be obtained through mordant dyeing by CuSO 4 and FeSO 4.The post-mordant dyeing gave the great depth of shade.The colour fastness to washing with soap and fastness to light could be improved,but colour fastness to rubbing was a little influenced by mordanting.
