Research of dyeing on wool fabric with bamboo extraction

Bamboo was extracted with alkaline solution,and wool fabric was dyed with the extracts.Factors exerting influence on dyeing results on wool fabric such as dyeing pH value,dyeing temperature,dyeing time,Na2SO4 concentration and mordant dyeing were discussed.It was found that,the optimum conditions for the direct dyeing on wool fabric were pH value 5,dyeing temperature 100 ℃,dyeing time 75min,liquor ratio 1∶50.Meanwhile,different hues wool fabrics could be obtained through mordant dyeing.The colour fastness to wash with soap of dyed wool fabric could be improved by post-mordanting.
