Repaired anterior segment of traumatic eyes combined with IOL implantation

Objective To study the effects of combined operation of repair anterior segment of traumatic eyes,cataract extraction and IOL implantation.Methods 21 cases of corneal rupture and traumatic cataract were performed with cornea suture,cataract extraction and implantation of posterior chamber IOL.Results The follow up period was 5mo~6a visual acuity of 0.5 or better was in 61.9%(13/21),the postcapsular opacity was in 33.3%,no infection occured in all cases.Conclusion combined operation can decreas the injury in comparison with seperate procedures,and can increase the rate of postoperative infection and postcapsular opacity.
