Abstract

Two flavones were isolated and purified from the crude extract of Hibiscus manihot by high-speed counter-current chromatography(HSCCC).A two-phase solvent system composed of ethyl acetate-methanol-water(10∶0.4∶10,V/V) was used.10.07 mg of hyperoside,13.5 mg of puerarin with their purities over 94% were obtained from 100.3 mg of the dry crude flavonoid extract from Hibiscus manihot under the conditions of a flow rate of 2.0 mL/min,while the apparatus rotated at 900 r/min and temperature at 30 ℃.
