Abstract

Objective To study glass fiber-reinforced post's curative effect on jaw premolar root canal treatment from the point of biomechanics. Methods Chosed 97 cases of those jaw former mill fang body defect and residual root and crown patients' 132 cases of teeth which needed repairing, and divided these teeth into control group and experimental group, adopted conventional silver amalgam filling and metal PFM full crown to repair 65 cases of those molar residual crowns teeth in control group, while after proceeded perfect root canal therapy to experimental group's 67 cases of teeth, adopted glass fiber-reinforced post for PFM crown restoration, proceeded follow-up investigation to these two group's offending teeth, calculate successful number according to standard, what's more, proceeded stress test through sample test-piece,compared these teeth's flexural capacity after they have been repaired by different methods. Results Experimental group's treatment successful rate was(94.03%),it was far higher than control group's(75.38%),the comparison result has statistics meaning;Experimental group's flexural capacity was obviously higher than control group's,it has meaning through statistically analysis. Conclusion Glass fiber-reinforced post's biomechanical property after jaw premolar root canal therapy is better than the traditional alloy filling and metal PFM restoration's.It suits clinical use.
